Quran 30

This is Quran chapter 30

In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Alif.Lam.Mim. The Romans have been defeated in the nearest land. But they, after their defeat, will overcome in a few years; to God belongs the command before and after; and on that day the believers shall rejoice with the help of God; - He helps whom He will, and He is the Mighty, the Compassionate. - God's promise! - God breaks not His promise, but most of mankind do not know! They know the outward of the life of the world, but of the hereafter they are heedless.

Have they not reflected in themselves? God created not the heavens and the earth, and what is between them except with truth, and for an appointed term. But indeed, many of mankind surely are disbelievers in the meeting with their Lord.

Have they not travelled in the land and seen how was the end of those before them? They were stronger than them in might, and they ploughed the earth and cultivated it more than they have cultivated it; and their messengers came to them with clear signs; and God wronged them not: but they wronged themselves.

Then evil was the end of those who did evil, in that they said the signs of God were lies and mocked at them.

God produces creation, then He repeats it; then to Him you shall return.

And on the day the Hour rises the criminals shall be in despair; and they shall not have amongst their partners intercessors; and they shall disbelieve in their partners.

And on the day the Hour shall rise, on that day they shall be divided; and as for those who believed and did good works, so they shall be joyful in a garden; and as for those who disbelieved and said Our signs and the meeting of the hereafter were lies, then those shall be in the punishment arraigned.

So glory be to God when you are in the evening and when you are in the morning! And His is the praise in the heavens and the earth! And at the evening, and when you are at noon.

He brings forth the living from the dead, and brings forth the dead from the living; and He gives life to the earth after its death, and thus shall you be brought forth.

And of His signs is that He created you from dust; then behold, you are mortals spread abroad.

And of His signs is that He created for you of yourselves wives that you may dwell with them; He made between you affection and mercy. Indeed, in that surely are signs for a people who reflect.

And of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the diversity of your tongues and your colours; indeed, in that surely are signs for those who know.

And of His signs is your sleep by night and day; and your seeking of His grace. Indeed, in that surely are signs for a people who hear.

And of His signs He shows you lightening, for fear and hope; and He sends down from the sky water, and gives life therewith to the earth after its death; indeed, in that surely are signs for a people who have sense.

And of His signs is that the heavens and the earth stand by His command; then when He calls you a call from the earth, lo! You shall come forth.

And to Him belongs whoever is in the heavens and the earth, all are obedient to Him.

And He it is who produces creation then repeats it, and it is very easy for Him; and His is the loftiest similitude in the heavens and the earth; and He is the Mighty, the Wise!

He has struck out for you a parable from yourselves; do you have, of what your right hand possesses, any partners in what We have provided for you, so you are equal in it, you fear them as you fear yourselves? - Thus do we detail the signs for a people who have sense.

Nay, those who do wrong follow their lusts without knowledge, - and who shall guide him whom God has led astray? And they shall have no helpers.

So set your face to the religion, upright - the fitrah of God upon which He originated mankind; there is no altering the creation of God, that is the standard religion, but most men do not know. Turning in repentance to Him; and fear Him, and be steadfast in prayer; and do not be of the idolaters, of those who have divided their religion and become sects, every party in what they have, rejoicing.

And when distress touches men they call upon their Lord, turning in repentance to Him; then when He has made them taste mercy from Him, behold! A party of them associate others with their Lord, that they may disbelieve in what We have given them; - then enjoy yourselves; but soon you shall know.

Or have We sent down to them an authority, and it speaks of what they associate with Him?

And when We make mankind taste mercy, they rejoice in it, but if evil befalls them for what their hands have sent forth, behold! They despair.

Have they not seen that God extends provision  to whom He pleases and straitens? Indeed, in that surely are signs for a people who believe.

So give the kinsman his due, and the poor and the wayfarer; that is better for those who desire the face of God, and those, they are the prosperous.

And what you give for usury that it may increase in the wealth of men, shall not increase with God; but what you give of alms, desiring the face of God - then those they shall gain double.

God is the one who created you, then provided for you; then will make you die, then will give you life; is there any of your partners who does anything of that? Glory be to Him and exalted is He above what they associate!

Trouble has appeared in the land and the sea, for what men's hands have earned! That He may make them taste a part of that which they have done, - perhaps they may return!

Say, 'Travel in the earth, and see how was the end of those who were before, most of them were idolaters!'

So set your face to the standard religion, before a day comes from God which there is no averting; on that day they shall be sundered.

Whoever disbelieves, then upon him is his disbelief; and whoever does right, then for themselves they are spreading couches: that He may reward those who believe and do right of His grace; indeed, He does not love the disbelievers!

And of His signs is that He sends the winds, bearing glad tidings, and to make you taste of His mercy, and to make the ships sail at His command, and that you may seek of His grace, and perhaps you may be thankful.

And verily, We sent before you messengers to their people, and they came to them with manifest signs: then We took retribution from those who committed crimes, but it was due upon us to help the believers.

God it is who sends the winds and they stir up clouds; then He spreads them in the sky how He pleases; and He breaks them up and you see the rain come forth from their midst; and when He causes it to fall upon whom He pleases of His servants, behold they rejoice, and certainly, before it was sent down upon them they were before it surely in despair!

So look to the vestiges of God's mercy, how He gives life to the earth after its death; Indeed, that surely will give life to the dead, and He is powerful over everything.

And if We sent a wind and they see it turn yellow, certainly they would remain after it in disbelief.

So indeed, you cannot make the dead to hear, and you cannot make the deaf to hear the call, when they turn their backs, fleeing.

And you cannot guide the blind out of their error. You cannot make to hear except those who believe in Our signs, so they surrender.

God it is who created you from weakness, then made after weakness strength; then made after strength, weakness and grey hair: He creates what He wills, and He is the Knowing, the Powerful!

And on the day the Hour rises, the sinners shall swear they did not tarry but an hour; thus they were deluded. But those who are given knowledge and faith will say, 'Verily, you have tarried according to the Book of God, until the day of resurrection, but you do not know.'

And on that day their excuse shall not profit those who did wrong; nor shall they be allowed to make amends.

And verily, We have struck out for mankind in this Quran every kind of parable; but if you should bring them a sign, those who disbelieve will surely say, 'You are nothing but followers of falsehood.' Thus does God set a stamp upon the hearts of those who do not know.

So be patient; indeed, God's promise is true! And let them not flurry you who are not sure.
