Quran 15

This is Quran chapter 15

In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Alif.Lam.Ra. Those are the signs of the Book and of a perspicuous Quran.

Many a time will those who disbelieve wish they had surrendered. Leave them to eat and enjoy and let hope beguile them, for they will soon know!

And We did not destroy any city but there was a known decree for it. No nation can hasten on its term, nor delay it.

And they say, 'O you upon whom the reminder has been sent down! Indeed, you are surely possessed. Why do you not bring us the angels if you are of the truthful?'

We do not send down the angels except with the truth, and then they would not be respited.

Indeed, We have sent down the reminder, and indeed, We surely are its guardians.

And certainly We sent before you, among the sects of the former peoples. But there never came a messenger to them but they mocked him. Thus do We make it enter into the hearts of the sinners. They will not believe therein, and verily the course of the former people is run.

And had We opened to them a door of the sky and they had mounted up into it all the while; they would surely say, 'Our eye-sight is only intoxicated; nay we are a people bewitched!'

And verily We have placed in the sky constellations, and have beautified it for the beholders; and We have guarded it from every outcast devil; except him who steals a hearing, and there follows him a clear flame.

And the earth We have stretched it out and have thrown therein firm mountains, and have caused to grow therein of everything a measured quantity. And We have made for you means of livelihood therein, and for those for whom you are not providers. And there is not a thing but its treasuries are with Us, and We do not send it down except in a known quantity. And We send the winds fertilizing, and We send down water from the sky, and We give it to you to drink, nor is it you who store it up. And indeed, We, surely We give life and We cause death, and We are the Inheritors. And verily We know the eager among you and verily We know the laggards! And indeed, your Lord, He will gather them; indeed, He is wise, knowing.

And certainly We created man from clay of moulded black mud; and the jinn We created it before of smokeless fire.

And when your Lord said to the angels, 'Indeed, I am creating a mortal from clay of moulded black mud; and when I have fashioned him and breathed into him of my spirit, then fall down in prostration to him.'

So the angels prostrated all of them together, except Iblis. He refused to be with those who prostrated.

He said, 'O Iblis! What ails you that you are not with those who prostrated?'

He said, 'I am not one to prostrate to a mortal whom you have created from clay of moulded black mud.'

He said, 'Then get out of it, for indeed, you are outcast. And indeed, the curse is upon you until the day of judgment.'

He said, 'My Lord! Then respite me until the day they shall be raised.'

He said, 'Then indeed, you are of the respited until the day of the noted time.'

He said, 'My Lord! Because you have seduced me, I will surely make it seem seemly for them in the earth, and I will surely seduce them all together; except such of them as are your sincere servants.'

He said, 'This is a right way against me. Indeed, my servants you have no authority over them, except those who follow you of such as are seduced.' And indeed, Hell is the promised place for them all together. It has seven doors; for every door is a separate party of them.

Indeed, those who fear God shall be in gardens and springs: 'Enter it in peace, safe!' And We will remove what is in their breasts of rancour; as brothers on couches face to face. No toil shall touch them therein, nor shall they be removed from it.

Inform my servants that I am the forgiving, the Compassionate; and that my punishment, it is the grievous punishment.

And inform them about Abraham's guests when they entered unto him and said, 'Peace!' He said, 'Indeed, We are afraid of you.'

They said, 'Do not be afraid! Indeed, we give you good news of a knowing boy.'

He said, 'Do you give me good news that old age has touched me? Of what then do you give me good news!'

They said, 'We give you good news of the truth, so do not be of those who despair!'

He said, 'And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord except those who are astray.'

He said, 'Then what is your business, you messengers?'

They said, 'Indeed, We are sent to a sinful people; except Lot's family; indeed, them we will surely save all together, except his wife. We have decreed, indeed, she is surely of those who linger.'

And when the messengers came unto Lot's family, he said, 'Indeed, you are a people whom I do not recognise.'

They said, 'Nay, we have come to you with that about which they did doubt. And We have come to you with the truth, and indeed, We surely are truthful! So travel with your family in the deep darkness of the night, and follow their rear; and let not anyone of you turn around to look; but go on to where you are commanded.'

And We decided for him that affair, that the last remnant of these would be cut off in the morning.

And the people of the city came, glad at the news. He said, 'Indeed, these are my guests, therefore do not disgrace me; and fear God, and do not put me to shame.'

They said, 'Have we not forbidden you from the worlds?'

He said, 'These are my daughters, if you would be doers.' - By your life! Indeed, they were surely in their intoxication blindly wandering on! - And the noise caught them at sunrise. And We made its higher part its lower part, and We rained down upon them stones of baked clay.

Indeed, in that verily are signs for those who examine. And indeed, it is on a path that still remains. Indeed, in that surely is a sign for the believers.

And the fellows of the Grove were surely wrongdoers; so We took vengeance on them, and indeed, they both are for an obvious example.

And certainly the fellows of Al Hijr called the messengers liars, and We gave them Our signs, but they turned away from them. And they used to hew out houses from the mountains, secure. But the noise caught them in the morning; and what they had earned did not avail them.

We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them, except in truth. And indeed, the Hour is surely coming; so pardon with a fair pardon.

Indeed, your Lord, He is the creator, the knowing!

And certainly, We have given you seven of the repetition, and the great Quran.

Do not strain your eyes after what We have given pairs of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them; and lower your wing to the believers, and say, 'Indeed, I am an obvious warner.' As We sent down on the dividers who have made the Quran into parts. So by your Lord! We will question them all together about what they used to do. Therefore proclaim what you are commanded, and turn away from the idolaters. Indeed, We are enough for you against the mockers who set up another god with God; But they will soon know!

And verily, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. So celebrate the praise of your Lord, and be of those who adore. And serve your Lord until the certainty comes to you.
