Quran 6-B

This is Quran chapter 6, verses 93 to 165 (End)

Who is more unjust than he who forges against God a lie or says, 'It has been inspired to me,' while nothing has been inspired to him, and who says, 'I will reveal the like of what of what God has revealed'? And if you could see when the unjust are in the floods of death, and the angels stretch out their hands, 'Bring out your souls! Today you shall be recompensed with the punishment of disgrace, for that you used to say against God other than the truth and you were proud against His signs.'

And certainly you have come to Us alone as We created you the first time, and you have left what We granted you behind your backs. And We do not see with you your intercessors those whom you claimed that they were associates in you. Indeed, it has been cut asunder between you; and strayed away from you is what you used to claim.

Indeed, God it is who cleaves out the grain and the date-stone; He brings forth the living from the dead, and is the bringer-forth of the dead from the living. That is God, so how are you turned away?

He it is who cleaves out the morning. And He has made the night for repose, and the sun and the moon for reckoning.  That is the decree of the Mighty, the Knowing.

He it is who made for you the stars that you might be guided with them in the darkness of the land and the sea. Certainly, We have detailed the signs for a people who know.

He it is who produced you from one soul, and a settlement and a resting place. Certainly, We have detailed the signs for a people who understand.

And He it is who sends down from the sky water; and We bring forth with it growths of everything; and We bring forth from it green, from which We bring forth grain in full ear; and from the palm from its spathe clusters within reach; and gardens of grapes and the olives and the pomegranates, alike and unlike; look at its fruit when it fruits and ripens! Indeed, in that are signs for the people who believe.

And they make the jinn partners with God, though He created them. And they ascribed to Him sons and daughters, without knowledge glorified is He and exalted above what they attribute.

Originator of the heavens and the earth! How can He have a son, and He has no female companion, and He has created everything, and He has knowledge of everything?

That is God your Lord! There is no god but He, the creator of everything; so worship Him. And He is guardian over everything.

Vision perceives Him not, but He perceives vision; and He is the Subtle, the Aware.

Indeed, insight has come to you from your Lord. So whoever sees, then it is for his soul, and whoever is blind then it is against it; and I am not a keeper over you.

And thus do We turn about the signs, that they may say, 'You have studied,' And that We may make it clear for a people who know.

Follow what is inspired to you from your Lord; there is no god but He, and turn away from the idolaters.

And if God had willed, they would not have associated partners. And We have not made you a keeper over them, nor are you over them a guardian.

And do not insult those whom they call on other than God, then they may insult God in enmity without knowledge. Thus unto every nation have We made their deeds seem fair. Then unto their Lord is their return, then He will inform them of what they used to do.

They swore by God their most strenuous oath, if there come to them a sign they will indeed believe in it. Say, 'Signs are only with God;' - But what will make you perceive that when it has come, they will not believe.

And We will turn their hearts and their eyesights, as they did not believe in it the first time; and We will leave them, in their rebellion, blindly wandering.

And had We sent down to them the angels, and the dead had spoken to them, and We had gathered everything before them, they would not have believed unless that God willed - but most of them are ignorant.

And thus We have made for every prophet an enemy, - devils of mankind and jinn; some of them inspire others with specious speech in deception; but had your Lord willed they would not have done it; so leave them and what they invent.

And let the hearts of those who do not believe in the hereafter incline to it; and let them be pleased with it; and let them earn what they are earning.

Shall I then seek a judge other than God? And it is He who has sent down to you the Book in detail, and those to whom We gave the Book know that it is sent down from your Lord with the truth, so do not be of the doubters.

The word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and justice; there is none to change His words, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.

And if you obey most of those who are in the earth, they will lead you astray from the path of God; they only follow suspicion and they only guess.

Indeed, your Lord, He knows best who errs from His path, and He knows best of the guided ones.

So eat of what God's name has been pronounced upon, if you are believers in His signs.

What ails you that you do not eat from what God's name is pronounced upon, and indeed, He has detailed to you what He has made unlawful for you? Except what you are forced to; and indeed, many surely lead astray by their desires, without knowledge. Indeed, your Lord, He knows best of the transgressors.

And leave the outside of sin and the inside thereof; indeed, those who earn sin shall be recompensed for what they have earned.

And do not eat of what the name of God has not been pronounced upon, and indeed, it is grave disobedience. And indeed, the devils inspire their friends that they may dispute with you; and if you obey them, indeed, you are idolaters.

Is he who was dead and We gave him life, and made for him a light with which he walks among men, like him whose likeness is in the darkness, from which he cannot come out? Thus is made fair seeming to the disbelievers what they have done.

And thus We have placed in every town the greatest of its criminals, that they may plot therein. And they plot only against themselves, and they do not perceive.

And when a sign comes to them, they say, 'We will not believe until we are given like what the messengers of God were given.' God knows best where to put His message. There shall befall those who sin, humiliation in God's sight, and grievous punishment for what they used to plot.

So whomsoever God wishes to guide, He expands his breast to Islam; and whomsoever He wishes to lead astray, He makes his breast narrow, constricted, as though he would mount up into the sky; thus does God place the abomination on those who do not believe.

And this is the way of your Lord - straight. Certainly We have detailed the signs for a people who mind.

For them is the abode of peace with their Lord, and He is their patron for what they have done.

And the day He shall gather them all together, 'O assembly of the jinn! Certainly, you have got many of mankind.' And their clients among mankind shall say, 'Our Lord! Some of us profited by others; and we have reached our term which you appointed for us.' He says, 'The fire is your abode, to dwell therein forever!' - except what God wills; indeed, your Lord is wise, knowing.

And thus do We make some of the unjust patrons of the others, for what they have earned.

O assembly of jinn and mankind! Did there not come to you messengers from among you relating to you My signs, and warning you of the meeting of this day of yours? They say, 'We bear witness against ourselves.' And the life of the world deceived them, and they bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers.

That is that your Lord would never destroy towns unjustly while its people are unaware.

And for all are degrees of what they have done; and your Lord is not unaware of what they do.

And your Lord is rich, Lord of mercy; if He wills He can remove you, and can cause what He wills to succeed you after you; as He raised you from the seed of other people.

Indeed, what you are promised will surely come, and you cannot frustrate it.

Say, 'O my people! Work according to your position, indeed, I am working; and soon you shall know whose is the end of the abode. Indeed, the unjust shall not prosper.'

They set apart for God, from what He produced of tilth and cattle, a portion, and they say, 'This is God's;' - By their claim - 'And this is for our associates;' But what is for their associates does not reach to God, and what is for God then it reaches to their associates; - evil is what they judge.

And thus have their associates made fair seeming to many of the idolaters the killing of their children, to destroy them, and to obscure for them their religion; but had God willed they would not have done it, so leave them and what they have forged.

And they say, 'These cattle and tilth are inviolable; none shall eat them, except whom we will,' - By their claim - And there are cattle whose backs are prohibited, and cattle upon which God's name is not pronounced, - forging against Him! He shall reward them for what they have forged.

And they say, 'What is in the wombs of these cattle is reserved for our males and unlawful for our wives, but if it is dead, then they are partners in it.' He will reward them for their attribution; indeed, He is wise, knowing.

Certainly, lost are those who kill their children foolishly, without knowledge, and prohibit what God has provided them, forging against God; certainly, they have erred and are not guided.

And He it is who produces gardens trellised, and untrellised, and the palms and corn land, with various food, and olives, and pomegranates, alike and unlike. Eat of its fruit when it fruits, and give its due on the day of its harvest, and do not be extravagant; indeed, He does not love the extravagant.

And of cattle are there some to ride on and to spread. Eat of what God has provided you, and do not follow the footsteps of Satan; indeed, he is to you an open enemy.

Eight pairs, - of sheep two, and of goats two; say, 'Are the two males unlawful, or the two females, or what the wombs of the two females contain? Inform me with knowledge if you are truthful.'

And of camels two, and of cows two; say, 'Are the two males unlawful, or the two females, or what the wombs of the two females contain? Or were you witnesses when God ordained for you this? - Then who is more unjust than he who invents a lie against God, to lead mankind astray without knowledge? Indeed, God does not guide the unjust people.'

Say, 'I cannot find in what is inspired to me anything unlawful for the taster to taste; except it be dead, or blood that has been shed, or the flesh of swine, - for indeed, it is an abomination - or disobedience, consecrated to other than God. But whoever is forced, not wilfully nor transgressing, - then, indeed, your Lord is forgiving, compassionate.'

And to those who were Jews We prohibited everything that has a solid hoof; and of the cows and the sheep We prohibited to them their fat, except what their backs carry, or the entrails or what is mixed with bone; that is their recompense for their rebellion. And indeed, We surely are truthful.

And if they deny you, then say, 'Your Lord is of vast mercy, and His violence will not be turned back from the sinful people.'

Those who associate partners will say, 'Had God willed, we had not associated partners nor our fathers; nor would we have prohibited anything.' Thus did those before them deny until they tasted Our punishment. Say, 'Have you any knowledge with you? Then bring it forth to us: you only follow suspicion, and you do nothing but conjecture.'

Say, 'Then God's is the conclusive argument; and had He willed, surely He would have guided you all.'

Say, 'Come on then with your witnesses, those who bear witness that God has prohibited this!' But if they bear witness, then do not bear witness with them; nor follow the lust of those who say Our signs are lies, and those who do not believe in the hereafter, and they make peers with their Lord.

Say, 'Come! I will recite what your Lord has forbidden you, that you do not associate anything with Him, and with the parents, kindness, and do not kill your children out of poverty; - We will provide for you and them; - and do not draw near to flagrant sins, what is apparent of them and what is concealed, and do not kill the soul, which God has forbidden except by right; that He has enjoined on you, perhaps you may understand.'

And do not draw near to the wealth of the orphan, except so as to better it, until he reaches his maturity; and give full measure and weight with justice. We do not burden the soul except to its capacity; and when you speak, then be just, though it be to a relative. And God's covenant fulfil. That He has enjoined on you, perhaps you may be mindful.

And indeed, this is my straight way; so follow it, and do not follow paths, to separate yourselves from His way; that He has enjoined on you, perhaps you may fear.

Then We gave Moses the Book, complete for him who does good, and an explanation of everything and a guidance and a mercy; perhaps in the meeting with their Lord they will believe.

And this is a Book which We have sent down, - blessed; so follow it and fear; perhaps you may obtain mercy.

Lest you say, 'The Book was only sent down upon two parties before us; and indeed, we were certainly unaware of their study.'

Or, you should say, 'Had we had a book revealed to us we should surely have been more guided than they;' So verily there has come to you a manifest sign from your Lord, and a guidance and a mercy; who then is more unjust than he who calls God's signs lies, and turns away from them? We will reward those who turn away from Our signs with an evil punishment for that they turned away.

Are they waiting except that the angels should come to them, or that your Lord should come, or that some signs of your Lord should come? The day some signs of your Lord do come, its faith shall profit no soul which did not believe before, or earned good by its faith. Say, 'Wait. Indeed, we are waiting.'

Indeed, those who divided their religion and became sects, you are not of them in anything; their matter is only unto God, then He will inform them of what they have done.

Whoever comes with a good work, then for him is ten like it; and whoever comes with an evil work, then he shall be recompensed only with the like of it; and they shall not be wronged.

Say, 'Indeed, as for me, my Lord has guided me to a straight way, a right religion, - the religion of Abraham, the upright, and he was not of the idolaters.'

Say, 'Indeed, my prayer and my sacrifice and my life and my death belong to God, Lord of the worlds.

He has no partner; and with that I have been commanded, and I am the first of those who surrender.'

Say, 'Shall I seek a Lord other than God, and He is the Lord of all things?' And every soul earns not except against itself, and no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another. Then to your Lord is your return and He will inform you of that in which you differed.'

And He it is who made you vicegerents of the earth, and raised some of you above others in degree, to try you in what He has given you; - indeed, your Lord is swift in punishment, and indeed, He is forgiving, compassionate.
